This project is an individual endeavour, based on the time and effort of a single person. It is not my intent to charge any access or maintenance fees at any point. Ethically that would be problematic as it would represent monetisation of someone’s else’s work.

So there will never be an access charge or any financial barrier to the access of this work. The goal is to keep it available as long as possible and over time, to improve the interpretation of the original data

That having been said, there are obvious ongoing costs to maintain the web hosting, and domain name, even in a static mode.

Any donations you make will be allocated for the ongoing maintenance, security, and development of this resource. Beyond maintenance, donating buys time – to improve the search and interpretation of the data, to integrate with other databases and to enrich the resource. As and when other databases are discovered, the goal will be to integrate them as well in a way that adheres to best-practice in standards for digital preservation.

While the mission will continue, your support will both improve and secure my efforts.

Please note: The company Avalonia.it will appear in the paypal donation button – it is the company maintaining this site and is not a direct benificary. It operates under UK tax law and while not a registered non-profit, will issue reciepts for donations.
